This photograph shows a young woman posed in pitcher stance wearing a baseball uniform. At the time, women played baseball on various teams, even some semi-pro teams. Sometimes called Bloomer Girls, they often wore bloomers. Later they wore more traditional baseball uniforms, sometimes adapted with skirts. The photograph was published ca. 1913.
