This promotional poster shows five male acrobats flying high on the trapezes at a circus. The first trapeze act was performed by Jules Léotard (father of the modern “leotard”) in the 1850s. This hand-colored lithograph was published in 1890 by Calvert Litho. Co. (LC-DIG-ppmsca-54754).
