This travel poster, titled “Rainier National Park,” was created by artist Gustav Wilhelm Krollmann (1888-1962). The project was sponsored by Northern Pacific promoting its North Coast Limited, which ran from Chicago to the Northwest Coast. It shows the steam engine and tender with cars steaming through the Cascade Mountains in Stampede, Washington. This lithograph was printed ca. 1925 by Brown & Bigelow (LC-DIG-ppmsca-30688).
