Forepaugh & Sells, Shows Combined

$72.00 USD
Material: Rolled Gloss Photographic Paper (Unlaminated)
Size: 24x32

This promotional poster shows a clown handing a bouquet of flowers to a woman sitting sidesaddle on a horse. The Forepaugh & Sells Circus was created in 1896 when James A. Bailey, who had purchased Forepaugh's original circus, combined with the Sells Brothers (Ephraim, Lewis, and Peter). It was a successful operation and even competed well with Barnum & Bailey. This color lithograph was printed ca. 1899 by Strobridge Litho. Co. (LC-DIG-ppmsca-54911).
