This image was titled “Christmas Comes But Once a Year” and shows a large extended family at dinner on Christmas Day. They are being served a holiday pudding by a housemaid. The artist was Charles Green RI (1840–1898), a British watercolorist and illustrator. His works were primarily historic and genre. He was best known for illustrating the work of Charles Dickens. This color lithograph was printed ca. 1896 (LC-DIG-ppmsca-44651).
