This show poster was a promotional piece for William F. Cody’s famous Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show. Subtitled “Wild Rivalries of Savage, Barbarous, and Civilized Races,” it shows Buffalo Bill astride a horse, riding with men of various nationalities. The touring performance told a dramatic story of how the American West was settled. This color lithograph was published ca. 1898 by the Courier Litho. Co. (LC-DIG-ppmsca-54870).
