The letter shown on this promotional poster says that "Houdini's Will" bequeaths Harry Houdini’s magic act and equipment to his brother, Theodore Hardeen, after Houdini's death. The poster was meant to establish Hardeen as the true heir to his more famous brother’s popularity. Houdini’s name was a powerful draw, and his brother capitalized on it. This color lithograph was printed ca. 1936 by Carey and Sons Litho. (LC-USZC2-1503).
