The original painting of this scene was painted by Dutch architect and painter W.C. Bauer (1862 - 1904). On what is presumably a snow-covered Christmas morning, a couple is travelling in a horse-drawn sleigh. A church is in the background, a bridge in the foreground. This color lithograph was published ca. 1885 by Raphael Tuck & Sons (LC-DIG-pga-02903).
