Baboons are some of the world’s largest monkeys. Five species of baboons live in various dry parts of Africa and Arabia—olive, yellow, chacma, Guinea, and hamadryas. They live in large, complicated social groups called troops that may number as many as 100. Troop members spend hours each day grooming one another.
