Veiled Chameleon on the Hunt
Veiled chameleons live in the trees and shrubs of Saudi Arabia and Yemen. These fascinating reptiles are able to change color for communication. They have independently swiveling eyes for 360-degree vision, and a casque on their head that funnels dew and rainwater droplets down to their mouths. They catch insects with long, sticky tongues that may be twice their body length and shoot out at an amazing speed.
