Canada Jay Perched in the Pines
These intelligent birds, also known as a Gray Jays, are found throughout the forests of North America. They have various nicknames including “Camp Robbers” and “Whiskey Jack Watches.” They are relatively tame and often approach hikers, hoping for treats. They use their sticky saliva to hide food away to keep themselves fed throughout the winter.
