Most blue sea stars are cobalt blue but may also be purple, orange, or a mix. They have 5 long arms and grow to 12 inches in diameter or more. They live in coral reefs, rocks, and seagrass beds in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Oddly, they push their stomachs out of their mouths to digest food.
