This painting shows a scene from the Battle of Nashville (Tennessee), fought during the Civil War on December 15-16, 1864. The battle was a decisive victory for the Union Army and is said to have dismantled the Confederate Army of Tennessee. This print was published ca. 1891 by Kurz & Allison (LC-DIG-pga-01886).
