This painting shows the Battle of Pea Ridge, fought in northwestern Arkansas from March 6-8, 1862. The scene shows Confederate cavalry and infantry, joined by Native American troops, attacking a line of Union cannons and infantry. Union troops were victorious. This chromolithograph was published ca. 1889 by Kurz & Allison (LC-DIG-pga-01888).
