Although this print was titled Battle of the Big Horn, it is known as Battle of the Little Bighorn or as “Custer’s Last Stand.” Fought on June 25-26, 1876, near the Little Bighorn River in Montana, the Lakota Sioux, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes defeated the US Army's 7th Cavalry. This print was published ca. 1889 by Kurz & Allison (LC-DIG-pga-01890).
