This watercolor painting was created by Dutch artist Henriëtte Geertruida Knip (1873-1842) ca. 1820. Honored by art academies in Paris and Amsterdam, Knip painted in oils as well as watercolor and was best known for her floral arrangements, almost always presented as a bouquet instead of part of a still life in a vase.
