This oil-on-canvas painting was created in 1824 by Dutch painter and draftsman Abraham Teerlink (1776-1857). The famous waterfalls at Tivoli were already a tourist attraction in Teerlink’s day, as shown in this painting that includes visitors climbing the hills across from the falls. (Rijksmusuem)
