This tapestry, “The Arming and Departure of the Knights,” was one of six Holy Grail or San Graal tapestries. Each features a different scene from the legend of King Arthur and the quest for the Holy Grail. The tapestries were commissioned by William Morris & Co. (London, England) and woven in their workshop between 1891 and 1894.
