Isami Rokichiro Meets Rokuyaon Gundayu, the Man Who Murdered His Parents (Poem No. 57)
This woodblock print illustrates a poem also named "The Shogun's Tardy Son." It is from the series, “Ogura Imitations of One Hundred Poems by One Hundred Poets.” It was created ca. 1847 by Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), considered the last great master of ukiyo-e art or woodblock print.
