This woodblock print shows an actor playing Yanone Gorō, a samurai from the kabuki comedy, Yanone, as he sharpens an arrow. The woodcut was created (with color) ca. 1822 by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Kiyomitsu Torii II (1787-1868). (Library of Congress, LC-DIG-jpd-02338)
