Gen. "Stonewall" Jackson (CSA)
Gen. Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson (1824-1863) is often said to have been one of the most able Confederate commanders. Jackson's nickname was earned at the First Battle of Bull Run in 1861 when his troops stood against Union forces "like a stone wall."
