Clearly a staged scene, these Native Americans examine rolls of film that probably feature themselves across the river by the large canvas tepees. They are dressed in full Plains chieftain's regalia. This photograph was taken during the Rodman Wanamaker Expedition of Citizenship to the American Indian. Photographed in 1913 by Joseph Kossuth Dixon.
NOTE: Some images are valuable historical records. To preserve their original condition, we have presented them as captured; their resolution may not be optimal for modern displays.
