This evening scene shows the Navajo hogans adjoining Hopi House, built for use by Navajo traders and artisans. The hogan, the traditional domed Navajo home, was made of stacked logs and covered with mud. Photographed in 1906 by Putnam & Valentine, hand tinted by Stanley R. Waine.
